South Florida Reining Horse Association (SFRHA) is an National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) affiliate reining horse club that provides sanctioned shows in sunny South Florida. SFRHA was founded in 2009 by veteran reiners who wanted to form a club that welcomed a fun, relaxed, competitive NRHA affiliated reining competition to the local reining enthusiasts. They successfully accomplished their mission to “put the fun back into reining” and we cannot thank them enough for all of their dedication and hard work! Everyone who shows here are considered “friends of reining” and we welcome all who would like to show in a fun atmosphere!

The affiliated governing body of SFRHA is the NRHA. It was Founded in 1966 and is an organization dedicated to the promotion of the reining horse. It serves as the standard setting body for the sport of Reining worldwide. The NRHA has established an affiliate championship program to assist the development of reining at the grassroots level. You may choose to set your sights on a regional award and SFRHA offers NRHA approved shows that count toward affiliate points. Every year each affiliate may put together a circuit and send up to ten representatives from each class to the regional East Central, Mountain, Northeast, North Central, Northwest, South Central, Southeast, Southwest, Eastern Canada, Western Canada, and Mexico Affiliate Championship shows. SFRHA is a Southeast Affiliate of NRHA. If a member of SFRHA is top ten of the NRHA Affiliate standings in our club, they can go on to compete at the regional level, then continue on to a national level.

SFRHA also offers year-end awards to high point earning horse/rider pairs. You must be a member of SFRHA for points to count. Please visit our “Rules” page for a complete explanation of our rules and how they are counted toward year end prizes.  Year End Results, Points, and Standings page will give you official results for qualified member points.
